After a decade of winemaking in the Snake River Valley, I’m continually fascinated by the stunningly aromatic wines that this region produces.  To showcase this vintage, I created a blend with heady aromas of black peppercorns, raspberry, apricot and mocha.  When we started Cinder we couldn’t foresee what was ahead… a decade of stained hands & long nights, of friendships and dreams.  Here’s to another decade!"

Tasting notes

Apricot aromas mingle with white pepper, followed by dark berry flavors. In the mouth you'll experience a silky texture, medium body and a long finish.

Production notes

The Decade was hand harvested and fermented in 1 ton bins with 4 punch-downs per day.  Grapes are pressed after an average 7 days of skin contact.  Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel and then we barrel age in 40% new, 30% 2nd and 3rd use barrels and 30% used barrels of French and American origin.  Wine was bottled in January 2018. 

Other notes

Moroccan meatball tacos or a French dip would compliment this wine nicely.


When to Drink

During the first year, decant for an hour & then enjoy.  While approachable early in its life, this wine will continue to evolve beautifully over the next 15 years.  As the name implies, this is one for the ages.
